What you are about to view is the edited video record of the intrepid 3 brothers cruising around the state of California, Nevada and Arizona USA. Not all scenes in the film are particularly pretty as there are a few shots of hanging bellies over shorts and inappropriate wearing of daft hats to keep the sun off ones thinning crown. The audio track in places includes some adult language and profanity, however this is more than warranted considering the situation at the time. For those of you who have ever suffered the rigors of BAD driving you will understand. However for all its faults the film is quite entertaining, one must understand that not everybody has had the privilege of sampling the delights of the Las Vegas strip, casino’s and non-stop entertainment. The excitement of only gambling one dollar per visit to the casino, the last of the big spenders were definitely not travelling with us. The majority of people would give their high teeth to experience the wonders of the beautiful scenery of Yosemite Park, Eldorado, the Grand Canyon, the Mohave Desert and Lake Tahoe, unfortunately this was not appreciated by all the members of our group, as one of our intrepid travellers described these places as just trees and lakes. In these situations one has to make allowances for travelling companions who consider Benidorm with its crappy English bars, sub-standard entertainment, drunks, bums and weirdo’s as being the centre of the universe (viva la dump). There were locations of course where even the hardest to please were satisfied, San Francisco, Carson City, Las Vegas, Los Angles, Hollywood and of course Disneyland. This was an early morning start (7am) nothing was going to be missed, we were determined to get our monies worth. For those who have never been to Disney, this is really should not be missed, everybody should experience a visit to Disneyland at least once in their lifetime. There is nowhere on earth quite like it, it’s a theme park with a difference, non-stop entertainment and fun for all ages and Disneyland California is the big daddy of them all. Unfortunately when you have visited all of the Disneyland parks some 15 times the place does unfortunately get a little bit wearing, you can only tolerate that dam mouse so many times and at 15  times that’s been well exhausted. During our visit we covered many miles on the tour but this was intentional, I had plotted a route that would take us to all the places I had seen before, places and locations that I had very fond memories of from previous visits. However the itinerary was not all selfish as one of the members of our trio had never experienced the delights of California before, so the idea was to take in as much as possible in the time we had as this may well be the last time any of us ever return. This holiday was extremely enjoyable never before had the three of us gone away together, we had experienced many new things like, the incessant whining, night peeing, bed sharing, bringing your own bedding to a hotel and then getting it nicked by the house maid, oversized meals, trying to find something to eat in a Chinese snatch and grab that wasn’t looking back at you, the worst cooked eggs in the world, the embaressment of having to ask in a Pharmacy for something to get rid of unwanted itching, snorting salt water every night to clear your sinus’s and of course the terminal farting, the rooms we stayed in must have been put in quarantine after we left. All in all I wouldn’t have missed it for the world, enjoy.
